We had to retain this girl and see what Leon's genetics could do with the Kirby line. She's a lovely, dairy doe! My husband couldn't stand this little girl as a baby - she's pesky and assertive - but that's one of the reasons I love her...she's the Kirby line through and through! As she's aged she has mellowed down a bit but keeps that strong personality and entertains me daily! Three words: Oh my gosh! Dove has freshened with one of my favorite first freshening udders - ever! This little doe has 'handle bar' teats, huge capacity and beautiful, strong attachments. She's milking like a pro. Dove's second freshening udder is even better than her first! Same udder, more capacity. I'd like to lengthen her fore and maybe open her orifices a bit - which should be accomplished by these Flame sons I've been breeding her to. She's just like milking a standard sized dairy goat with her 'handful' teats. So many of us strive for this! |
