Rukia was retained the moment she touched the ground! It took two freshenings (and SEVEN buck kids) to get a doe from this cross! My beautiful Brownie has never disappointed. She takes heavily after her sire's side conformationally and retained everything I love about her dam's mammary system. If I'm being picky, I would like to improve her front feet and legs - a trait that came from Geishi - but the rest of her more than makes up for that and her kids are always an improvement on her. Rukia freshens easily with big, healthy litters, much like her dam. She's a willing and happy milker and maintains condition well during her lactation. At the time of this publish, Rukia is milking just around 3.3-3.5 lbs a day. |
